The Harvard Surfing Club (HSC) was formed by a group of dedicated surfers and beach enthusiasts from the Ormond/Daytona Beach area. We are committed to preserving the memory of the original Harvard Heavies and promoting the benefits of the connection between ocean surf, marine life, and our community.

Our community is built around the joy of surfing and the camaraderie it brings. We invite you to become part of the surfing community and experience the fun and fellowship with like-minded individuals.

Movies at the Beach Event

Join us for our Movies at the Beach event on Friday, October 4, 2024, at the ramp between Daytona Ocean Tower and Daytona Beach & Conference Center. Bring your beach chairs, beverages, and snacks to share for an evening of surf-themed documentaries and socializing.

Itinerary:

• 7:15 p.m. Set up & background video/music
• 7:35 p.m. "Represent" - documentary following US Olympic hopefuls in surfing (57 minutes)
• 8:45 p.m. "Minds in the Water" - documentary about pro surfer Dave "Rasta" Rastovich and ocean conservation (1 hour, 25 minutes)
• 10:10 p.m. Socialize and clean up
